Custom Web Development Services
You came here to find out whether a custom build is worth it over a template, and what it would cost to work with a team that does this well. Short version: our custom web development services give you a site or web application built around your business logic, your content, and the way your buyers actually behave, priced by project with no long-term contract, and the code is yours to keep. We have done this as a small senior US team since 2018, and below we lay out exactly what you get, how the work runs, and how the money works before you ever get on a call.
Most agencies hide all of that behind a contact form. We would rather you decide if we fit before you spend an hour talking to us.
Scope of work
A custom build is not one deliverable. It is a set of decisions about structure, code, content, and handoff. Here is what falls inside the scope when you hire us for a website or a web app.
Pages that explain what you sell and turn visits into inquiries. We handle information architecture, page templates, copy support, forms that route to a real inbox, and the tracking that proves a form actually fired. If your current site looks fine but nobody contacts you, this is usually where the problem hides.
Logged-in tools, dashboards, portals, calculators, booking systems, and internal software that runs in a browser. This is the heart of our web application development services: we design the data model, build the front end and the back end, wire up authentication, and connect the third-party services you already pay for.
When you want the editing comfort of a CMS but the speed and flexibility of a modern front-end framework, we build the two halves separately and connect them through an API. You get a fast public site and a familiar place for your team to publish.
Your site rarely lives alone. We connect it to your CRM, your email platform, your payment processor, your scheduling tool, and any internal system with an API. Data goes where it is supposed to go, automatically, instead of someone retyping it.
Moving off an aging platform, consolidating three sites into one, or rescuing a build a previous vendor abandoned. We map the old content, preserve the URLs that earn traffic, and set up redirects so you do not lose your search rankings in the move.
Pages that load quickly on a mid-range phone, and markup that screen readers can actually parse. We treat both as part of building correctly, not as paid extras you discover later.

If your project is specifically WordPress or Shopify, we have dedicated teams and dedicated pages for each. See our custom WordPress development work and our Shopify development work. This page covers everything else, plus the custom builds that do not fit a single platform.
From brief to launch
You should know what the next several weeks look like before you commit. Our process has five stages, and we tell you which one you are in at every status update.
After launch you can keep us on a month-to-month basis for updates and new features, or take the keys and go. Both are fine, and neither costs you a penalty.

Why build with us
This is the section where most agencies recite adjectives. We would rather tell you the concrete reasons a buyer picks us, and let you check each one.
Picture a B2B manufacturer first, because that is who this work fits best. A regional metal-fab supplier had a “request a quote” form that, since 2021, quietly emailed every submission to an inbox nobody monitored. The sales team assumed business was slow. It was not slow; the leads were piling up unread in a mailbox that left the company with an employee three years ago. A custom build is partly about fixing exactly this: forms that route to the right people, log every submission, and prove delivery so a sale never falls into a void again.
Here is why companies like that choose us:
What we will not do is invent statistics to impress you. We are a US-registered firm that has shipped custom websites and web apps since 2018, and we would rather show you the work and the terms than quote a number we cannot prove.
A small senior team does the work.
The people in your discovery call are the people who write your code. Nothing gets handed to a junior pool after you sign. You always know who is building your project.
You own everything.
The code, the design files, the hosting accounts, the domain, and any documentation are yours from day one. We do not hold your site hostage to keep you paying us. This is rare in this industry and we put it in writing.
No lock-in.
Ongoing work is month-to-month. If we stop earning your business, you leave, and you take a working, documented site with you. We have to keep being useful, which is the only contract term that actually protects you.
Pricing you can see before a call.
The “what a build costs” section below is real. We tell you how we price and what moves the number, so you can budget before you invest your time.
We build for the long run.
Clean code, sensible structure, and documentation mean the next developer (even if it is not us) can pick up the project without a rebuild. We have maintained sites for years and we know what future-you will wish present-you had asked for.
What a build costs
Custom work does not have a sticker price, because no two builds are the same. Here is how we actually price it, stated plainly.
A custom build is scoped first, then billed either by project or as a monthly engagement. Whichever you choose, it stays month-to-month with no contract lock-in, and every file we produce is yours to keep from the start. After our discovery session we hand you a written scope and a fixed price for that scope, so you approve the number before any production code is written. If you would rather spread the work across months, we bill monthly against an agreed set of deliverables instead.
If you want a fast, fixed-price starting point rather than a full custom engagement, ask about our Starter Website package, priced at priced on request, which covers a focused launch with a defined page count.
What changes the price:
Ten variations of one template cost far less than ten genuinely different layouts.
A brochure site is one thing. Logins, dashboards, search, payments, or booking each add design and engineering time.
Every external system we connect (CRM, payments, scheduling, internal tools) adds work, and messy or undocumented systems add more.
If copy, images, and product data are ready, we move quickly. If we are helping create them, that is added scope.
Moving a large site with years of URLs and redirects takes more care than a fresh start.
Number of unique page or screen types.

FAQ
Straight answers to what owners ask first.
What counts as “custom” web development?
It means we build for your specific needs instead of fitting you into a prebuilt template. The structure, the features, and the code are shaped around your business rather than a generic design that thousands of other sites also use.
Do I really own the code and the accounts?
Yes. Every file we write, every design asset, and every account belongs to you. We hand it all over at launch. You can keep working with us, hire someone else, or bring it in-house, with no penalty either way.
How long does a custom build take?
A focused marketing site is usually a few weeks. A web application with logins and integrations takes longer, often a couple of months. We give you a real timeline with your scope, not a guess on the first call.
Can you fix or rebuild a site another agency made?
Yes. We take over abandoned or half-finished projects often. We start by reviewing the existing code and accounts, then tell you honestly whether to repair it or rebuild it, and why.
Will my site work on phones and load quickly?
We build for mobile screens first and test on real devices before launch. Fast loading and clean, accessible markup are part of building correctly, so we do not charge them as extras.
What if I only need a small site, not a full app?
That is fine. Ask about our fixed-price Starter Website package for a smaller launch, or we scope a custom project to match exactly what you need and nothing more.
Do you keep working with me after launch?
If you want us to. Ongoing updates and new features are billed month-to-month with no lock-in. You can also take the keys at launch and manage the site yourself.
How do I get a price for my project?
Book a call. We run a short discovery session, write a scope, and send you a fixed price for that scope before any code is written.
See if we fit
If you want a website or web application built by the people who actually write the code, priced openly, and handed over as something you fully own, we should talk. The first step is a short call where we learn what you need and tell you honestly whether we are the right team for it.
Book a call to scope your build with the team that will build it. If you would rather compare packages first, start with our pricing page.
